It is possible for me to be more of a homebody...

As soon as I start feeling crappy, the idea of "home" develops this glorious rosy glow.

The damned headache that wouldn't die is back again this morning, along some lovely generalized body aches and some rather odd jaw pain (bilateral, so I'm almost certain it isn't tooth related, and I don't have any history of grinding my teeth that might otherwise have caused it). I had some fibro-related TMJ problems years ago, but that randomly vanished. I hope it's not recurring. Regardless, home with the pets sounds infinitely more appealing than another six hours of helpdesk calls. *grump*

I should be working on all sorts of clinic escort stuff -- we're putting together a website, and I need to do the Sept schedule. I feel like braindead crap, though, so I think I'll be aimlessly meandering online for a bit before getting started. Maybe I'll do something about the ridiculous backlog of comment replies I owe. Which also reminds me, I've been a total slacker about that photo meme; I need to do that this weekend.

re: TMJ. Have you seen a chiropractor? I have a C2 vertebra issue that, when it flares up, makes my fibro worse and pushes (literally!) my jaw out of place.

Also, have you read any of the research on Substance P and fibromyalgia? It seems they may have tracked down the core of the fibro issue, which is terribly exciting. Apparently, SP is eliminated from the body during 4th Stage REM sleep and, when that doesn't happen, it builds up, causing ongoing pain. The wiki article is a little out of date, actually, but there's more research out there that I'm trying to track down. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Substance_P

re: Website. Have you a designer for that?

*nod* I'm familiar with the Substance P link -- I find it hysterical that it's such a ridiculous "bad sci-fi" sort of name! They were just starting to make that connection when I first got diagnosed and was doing a lot of research on it, in the late 90s.

We've currently got someone who's doing the basic website layout; most of the hassle is finding and/or writing the documentation we need to put up on the private side of the site. However, if our current person gets too busy with school (which seems likely), I may be looking for someone to help out with it, and I'd have no concerns about vouching for you to deb, our organizer.

re: Website. I'd also be happy to help you with the documentation. It would be great experience for me and all I'd ask in return is being able to reference the site in my portfolio. Writing copy is part of one of the contracts I'm hoping to pick up this fall.

I'm not certain how that might work, although I'll keep it in mind. Most of what we're working on is very specific to situations at the clinics we work at -- lots of brainstorming what info experienced escorts take for granted that new escorts may need to be told -- that sort of thing.

It's a generous offer, though -- When deb's back in town, I'll run it by her, and see what she thinks.

*nodnods* No problem. I can understand how that kind of thing is very specific.
