Two of the four missing library books have apparently found their way home -- they're now listed as returned on my account (and it was the two more expensive ones, too!). That gives me hope that the other two will find their way along sometime soon too.

I'm working late tonight, so I may finally get some time to finish catching up on LJ and writing about last weekend. But not 'til later; it's still first shift now, and relatively busy.

Finally! I'm so glad to hear that! when I get back let me chip in on fines 'cause I know the 'Trickster Makes This World' was out longer, aside from all the other lateness due to them losing books... which ones are still missing? It looks like we'll be back monday late afternoon/evening, and during the week sometime I'll go wherever the books are supposed to be to help end this silliness.

When I subtract the cost of the two books that haven't shown up yet, it's only $9.80 in fines for everything I've accumulated (and really, that's almost entirely me, over a whole assortment of books). It's really not a big deal at all.

I suspect since I've already talked to the librarians about the books being missing, having the evidence that two have since been discovered may make it more likely that they'll take the other two off my account anyway. I'm planning on going in and talking to them about it at my local branch this week when I return the rest of my (overdue *embarrassed face*) books.

Oh, missing library books. Was this, by any chance, CPL? Someone I know *coughcoughcough* still has about seven books on Aphra Behn that he checked out in 2004.
