I just talked to my tattoo artist, Chris Dingwell. I'm sending him photos of my tattoo to refresh his memory and start planning, and we'll be getting together late this summer to work on finishing it! Wheee-hooo!

Does anyone have any suggestions for especially affordable ways of getting to Portland, Maine from Cleveland, OH? If you happen to know handy hubs or such, that'd be great. I can easily Hound it to the Akron and Columbus airports if that's more efficient. I'm doing searches myself at the moment.

I don't know if this means the sound of the tattoo machines on LA Ink is going to drive me more or less crazy now (*crave*).

Edit: It's about $100 cheaper to fly to Boston. Does anyone there know if there's public transit between Boston and Portland that's reasonable?

This makes me feel, in its way, like the way I felt when I heard Germany was reuniting or Rutland had regained autonomy: something deep in the cogs of the universe has just become righter.

Alright, this world is just TOO effing small!! =:o Chris Dingwell at Sanctuary Tattoo?? (obviously, yes). Coz, um, the tattooist in the upper-right corner of that group shot is [livejournal.com profile] langelbleu who is a good friend of mine from waaay back - !

Heck, if you figure out how youre going to Maine, i might even be tempted to go along.. i've been wanting to have Jen do a piece on me for simply *ages*.

you can take a greyhound bus from boston to portland for about 35 dollars if you book in advance. also there's a train that goes from boston to portland, but i suspect it costs more:
