Getting Some Nuance Up In Your Reproductive Rights
Three key things to take away: Reproductive rights is not just about women. Reproductive rights is not just about abortion. Reproductive rights has tremendous intersections with race, class, sexuality, and disability.

My take on reproductive rights is hopelessly boring, and excruciatingly simple: You own your own body, every bit as much as I own mine. This goes far beyond abortion - this means you have the right to do whatever the fuck you want with your own body. You can choose to put what you want into it. You can choose whatever you wish to do with it. You OWN it, just as I own mine.

It's that basic, and it doesn't make for very good debate. But if it comes down to a vote, I vote for the freedom of each of us to own our own bodies, and FUCK OFF to any individual or group who tries to suggest otherwise.

(protip: Words like "freedom" and "sovereign" always score big in debates such as these, and make would-be self-righteous do-gooders get all tripped up in their talking points)

*nod* My arguments to those who are ethically opposed to abortion (and whom I wish not to be legally opposed to it as well) is based largely around those concepts, especially the ways in which we are very clear that we can't do so much as take a pint of blood from one person to save another without the first person's consent. Even if the second will die. Even if the second is a fully developed human being, the first person's child, Beethoven, whatever. We're really very clear about this concept of autonomy and consent as it applies to most things.
