moominmuppetThe problem with splitting off so many of the topical LJs I follow (blog feeds, politics, news, etc), combined with my general lack of time for writing coherent posts, is that I really don't share links anywhere near as often as I used to, despite regularly accumulating entire private posts full of interesting/infuriating articles and such.
So, with entirely too little commentary, here are some of the things I meant to get around to sharing:
Powerpoint idiocy from Deputy Assistant Secretary for Population Affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services (not a direct link to a PPT presentation -- that link is in the article, about halfway down)
Some articles on the Peace March in Washington -- wish I could've been there (also, something of a debunking of a bit of the NYT story)
And a bit of local news from around here:
Election Staff Convicted in Recount Rig
Two election workers, Jacqueline Maiden, elections coordinator of the Cuyahoga County Elections
Board, and ballot manager Kathleen Dreamer, were convicted Wednesday of rigging a recount of the
2004 presidential election to avoid a more thorough review in Ohio's most populous county. Ohio
gave President Bush the electoral votes he needed to defeat Democratic senator John Kerry in
2004.
