Questions from
cjdoyle:
1) How many people, as an estimate, do you think have touched your big toe on the right foot?
Hmmm... I think it must be a pretty high number. I spend a lot of time barefoot, I used to be very touchy-feeling with a pretty large community of people, and I spent close to two decades as part of a church that did mutual foot-washings on Maundy Thursday. I'd guess at least 100.
2) The Shatner DVD club introduced you to some great films. What flim would you introduce Shatner himself to?
Oh, speaking of that, apparently they went out of business! I got my last disk in January, along with a note that they were closing down. I think I'd want him to see Forbidden Zone. Somehow it feels like a fair trade for Incubus.
3) You've opened your home and heart to a number of animals. If you were forced by a new landlord (or whatever) to cull the herd down to a single species, who would win out?
Hooboy. I can't imagine giving up any of my current pets -- if a declaration like that came down, it'd be time to move. However, in the hypothetical, where it was a question of what I would limit myself to acquiring, it'd definitely be cats. I've had dogs off and on throughout my life, but I've always had cats, except for college, when I couldn't.
4) Describe your goals with regards to your tattoos.
Hmmm. I've been thinking about that some. Honestly, other things have out-prioritized finishing my arm/back tattoo for so long that I'm pretty used to it as is, although I keep meaning to get it finished. My big goal is really to do with that piece, and finally getting around to getting it completed before my artist dies of old age or something. Other than that, I don't have active plans for more at the moment, although there are some old ideas still on the backburner. I'd like to go through and do some touchups on my current work, though, especially my backpiece, since I knew going into it that the browns and reds would need touch up work more often than some colors.
5) Did you have a least favorite Smurf? Who was it? Why did you hate them so?
I was never a huge Smurfs fan in general, although the sheer number of smurf figures did fascinate me a bit as collectibles. I'd say my least favorite was Smurfette -- I was in a pretty hardcore tomboy phase at that point anyway, which certainly added to the ways in which she grated on me, but overall I just found her cloying, and I thought she used her gender in manipulative ways.
