moominmuppetI attended twice, and had a fabulous time; I'm definitely planning on making it this year if life cooperates even a little bit. Anyone else interested or planning to attend? It'd be a nice chance to attach faces to names here and there.

After 13 consecutive years, from 1992 through 2004, and 3 years off, BECAUSE is coming back. The BECAUSE Conference is the premier weekend for bisexuals, queers, questioning, and all others who are neither one thing nor the other. BECAUSE attracts people from throughout the Midwest and beyond to attend various educational workshops, get active, and generally enjoy the community experience.
As we stand up against labels that the community imposes on us, we challenge you to have No Fear and embrace our theme this year of:

Author and psychologist Ron Fox will be coming from Amsterdam to be Keynote speaker on Friday night. J.Love The Soundsmith will be spinning tunes at the dance party Co-hosted by BOP and the Queer Student Center at the U of M on Saturday night. With a kickoff and finale like these, you won't want to miss a moment in between! Register today for reduced rates! Discounted registration for students!

Reduced Rate/Early Registration Deadline: March 1, 2008
(Registration will be available at the door, but why not register early and save money?)
BECAUSE is still accepting workshop proposals. We have extended the deadline, so please contact Lisbeth right away with your ideas on a workshop that you would like to present. We are looking for workshops in a variety of areas including 101, sexuality, BSDM, health, politics, spirituality, and academic topics. Have another idea? Send it in!
