what did you think of The Long Goodbye? I have to say it's one of the few times I could see how honest emotional satisfaction could be derived from a short-term sexual encounter. The turn to human contact in that episode seems so appropriate and helpful and real.
*nod* It's a deeply painful episode -- Alzheimer's in one of my great fears for my parents (although luckily we don't seem to have any particular family history in that direction), and it's so hard to watch her losing her father like that. I definitely understand the encounter she has; for me there are a decent number of circumstances where short-term is emotionally satisfying, but I don't see C.J. generally being that way, so it's interesting to see her open up that way, at least briefly.
Let me know what you think of Evidence of Things Not Seen! Really, the last 4-5 episodes of S4 run things up in such a way that I'm hard-pressed not to watch them all at once.
*chuckle* That's basically exactly how I watch series; I'm a marathoner rather than a weekly watcher, generally (even with shows currently on, I tend to save a number on the DVR, then watch them in a row). It makes me lousy at remembering specific episode details, though, since they do all tend to blur together substantially.
