*bounce*

Getting flowers unexpectedly from a love makes me all happy and bouncy and giggly.

Especially when they show up in the office, and lead to funny little exchanges like the one I just described to Alan:

ccfSarah: Funny office conversations. "Oooh, are those from the new guy?" "No, the new girl"
ccfSarah: Ronnetta (who asked) is one of the really, really conservative ones. She was all "Oh, ok, no more info"
ccfSarah: I laughed, and told her I thought she'd learned by now never to ask a question of me that she doesn't want an answer to...

I love not having to be closeted at work. No one's hostile toward me, just generally somewhat baffled and afraid to ask for clarification. I can live with that.
CCF Police: Avoid New Year's Danger
Watch for random gunfire.
The Cleveland Clinic Police would like to remind all personnel that New Year's Eve is frequently observed by the unlawful dischage of firearms in the city. In the past, this activity has occured in the vicinity of the CCF's Parker Building [This is the one where I work]. All personnel should be aware of this dangerous activity, and make every effort to stay out of harm's way. Firearms activity can be expected to begin any time after 11 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Managers and administrators should consider having afternoon and night shift personnel come to work one-half hour earlier than usual, and afternoon personnel leave one-half hour earlier to assure their safety.

Please note that CCF shuttle buses will discontinue service at approximately 11:30 p.m., December 31, 2003. CCF Police vehicles will discontinue exterior patrols from approximately 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., unless needed to respond to emergencies.
