Surprise!

Apparently I'm having my annual review today. This isn't any kind of big hairy deal, but it was a bit startling to discover in my email this morning.

Also, I truly need to get my ass in gear to study for my Lab midterm tomorrow. I'm sure it's going to be more difficult than the exams the slacker TA was giving us last semester. I'm not actually complaining; I'm getting substantially more out of lab this semester. But the increased difficulty, combined with my increased slackerdom, and my TA's often bizarre and befuddling comments about what he's likely to test on (nucleated RBCs in parrots and camels? WTF? Even our prof was baffled when we mentioned that), means I need to put some work in.
