It occurs to me that for not having been overwhelmingly busy yesterday, I didn't actually really post anything, which is unusual for me. It's because I was contently entertaining myself with various trivia, and sorting out general life practicalities, like [livejournal.com profile] musicalchaos' trip up here this weekend to move the next load of his stuff -- nothing bad, just a nice moderately busy day without much to say.

The trend actually sort of continues today -- nothing much going on except figuring out plans for the weekend; I just found out that [livejournal.com profile] syrinx_77 will be back in town for the weekend, which is lovely, and I think we've got Matt's plans sorted out, and I've got escorting, plus plans with Casey and Ezra, and a cable appt sometime/anytime Sunday. It'll all be a bit busy, but not in a bad way. Next week I'm working the late shift Monday through Wednesday, my normal 7-3:30 hours on Thursday, then flying out Thursday evening to go spend the weekend with my family, which I'm looking forward to immensely.

Randomly, if you're interested in sex, gender, sex work, trans issues, and the law, check out [livejournal.com profile] harperjean's new legal blog, http://polyperversity.blogspot.com/index.html
I've also made it an RSS feed at [livejournal.com profile] polyperversity, since I'm finding it reliably interesting.

I notice that I haven't really been talking much about politics recently. I think it's mostly because I'm just so disgusted I don't know what to say, but Keith Olbermann pretty much hit it on the head for me the other night, regarding Bush's new "plan". (link includes transcript as well as video)

Additionally, I think the invasion of an Iranian foreign diplomatic mission in Iraq is unbelievably disturbing, especially since it doesn't even seem like Bush is too dumb to see it as an act of war, but is in fact hoping it'll be treated as one. Realistically, I know there's about a snowball's change in hell of impeachment actually happening, but I'm incredibly frustrated by that -- it feels so necessary not just in terms of "punishing illegal behaviour" but also in order to force a stop to continuing and escalating illegal and insane behaviour.

Huh. I just went to select the mood for this post, and now I don't know what to choose -- "chipper" for my daily life, or "enraged/cynical/depressed" (take your pick) for my feelings about our national life?
