It is very, very funny when grf and I go to a sex toy store together.

I've always had fun going to them, partially because, especially 15 years ago, and in rural Ohio, just being a confident female in that space felt like a form of activism. It obviously shocked some of the men there, and I thought it was a good shock for them to have. By sometime midway through college, I was escorting tours of other friends who were going for the first time, and we'd wander the place, and talk about plusses and minuses of things, and the more I learned about materials, designs, technical flaws, etc, the more I wanted to share (this often also led to other folks in the store asking me questions, too).

Apparently, Grafton and I both do this. Had some good educational conversations with folks while we were there, some good discussions between us of the various technical plusses and minuses of new designs, etc. Very amusing. "Quick stop" lasted at least an hour, I'm sure. (came home with several nifty new toys, though! Yay!)

So sleepy this afternoon. Still have patient-instructing tonight yet to go, and then a rare chance to get to see curiousredhead that I don't want to miss.

The dark little nook under my desk is looking very inviting. Is it naptime yet?

It looks like calebbullen will be moving in with us this weekend for a while; I do love having housemates and landlord who're cool with the fundamentally random nature of what people and critters are living at my place at any given time.
