Today is the beginning of Life Without Very Sweet Coworker. She'll be out for the next 6-8 weeks, and I'll be back on an RTA schedule for travel, and extra-busy at work (especially since another coworker will be gone for a month, as of tomorrow). I don't know yet exactly how busy "extra busy" is going to be, but it may mean I'll have substantially less time for online play for a while.

On the positive side, extra RTA time means I'll get more reading done. I'm most of the way through How We Know, which I'm reading before passing on to [livejournal.com profile] forestfire. So far, I think it's doing a pretty good job of explaining the processes and pitfalls of the scientific approach to knowledge, which is what I was looking for. It's 25 years old, but seems to have aged well, since the concepts themselves aren't very time-sensitive. Also, I finished up Tepper's Sideshow, which I found interesting enough to request the other two books of the trilogy from the library (oh! I just checked, and they're already in!)
