Something to do tomorrow...

I just got an email from the Center about this event happening in my neighborhood:
Big Queer Bazaar
Saturday, November 18, Noon-9pm and
Sunday, November 19, Noon-6pm, Asterisk Gallery
Be daring this holiday season and stop by this incredible original art and clothing sale featuring some of the regions most crafty artists and artisans, including Judith Maruszan, Janet Macoska Photos, Uniquely Moxy, Artifactual Creations, Anazeka, 831 Photography, Dan Pongallo, Sue Doerfer, Terry's Design and others. Have a snack at our funky sugar shack table and get your picture taken with a (male or female) Sexy Santa (photos are $10 each). Free.
I believe that the Unmasked show should still be up at the Gallery, as well (Wild Plum is our local Queer Arts organization), so I'm looking forward to seeing that show if it's still there.
Anyway, Marn comes in tonight, and my friend Di, from Columbus, is going to be coming by to hang out for a while tomorrow. I think this is something we'd all dig (Di's another queer activist/organizer -- we met cofacilitating the bi women's group down in Columbus about 10 years ago).
Also, this is a handy excuse to wander over to the library (which is around the corner from the gallery) and do another drop-off/pick-up; I've got a new stack waiting there.
My birthday was quiet but pleasant, and I got a voicemail from my Dad that made me absolutely teary. I'm really damned lucky in the parent and family department.
Today's going to be a bit busy; I'm helping to train one of the new techs for one of the major departments we support, so I won't be available between about 9am and 11am -- I'd prefer not to be IMed during that time. I also need to finish up the FAQ I'm working on, find a notary public for a form, call Tri-C, help B with the office recycling, and remember to stop by the pharmacy on my way to the Greyhound station to get Marn (note to self).
