Boss couldn't find anyone else who could cover tonight, so I'm back after my appointment at Tri-C. Not thrilled, since it meant an extra 2-3 hours on RTA today that could've been avoided (and therefore feel like quite a waste of time that could otherwise be spent earning overtime or being at home), and getting home after I should already be in bed. Still, it does still mean some overtime, if not as much as feels all that worthwhile, and it makes Boss's life easier (Boss regularly makes my life easier, so it feels like a fair trade sort of thing). I'm also working Thursday and Friday evening, and am definite for working Christmas (my request on those). Given the state of my finances and my PTO balance, this is all good in general, but it's also feeling like an exhausting week already, especially since I didn't get other coverage for patient-instructing, so I have that tomorrow night, and the dentist's on Wednesday (which means less of this overtime is actually going to be time and a half overtime pay), and escorting on Saturday. I'm going to be a zombie by the end of the week.

bec76 is kindly helping out with the dogs while my schedule is all crazy. My life would be so much more difficult without our extended household.

On the positive side, evenings are generally pretty quiet, so I'll get some time to catch up on LJ and email, and maybe to catch some folks on IM who aren't normally on during my regular work hours (paging

forestfire).

I'm all registered for my classes now, and just need to do the payment plan application and I'm all set for next semester. I'm taking microbiology lecture and lab, Tuesdays and Thursday from 6pm-8:50pm. From how it was listed online, it looked like it might actually only be one of those nights, but no such luck. Next semester will be an exhausting one, with that, counseling every other Monday, and patient-instructing wherever I can fit it in. It looks like the only evenings I can count on being home at a reasonable hour will be Fridays. Oy. Maybe I'll talk to my counselor about switching to a monthly schedule, since I'm doing pretty well, and that'd give me another evening for patient-instructing.

Possible roommate is coming by tomorrow night after patient-instructing. I've warned her that the house is in "I haven't really been home in days" condition, but Musicalchaos has agreed to try to get it somewhat tidied tonight, since I won't have opportunity.
