Last night was fun. Good students, plus I got to hang out a bit with both syrinx_77 and infowidget, which makes me happy. When I got home, grf suggested we grab the clay from his truck and start working on some rough positives for some prototypes of the toys we'd like to make. So, he, bec76 and I spent the rest of the evening watching a special on praying mantises that I swear to maude has aspirations of being Peter and the Wolf (I eventually shut it off just because I couldn't handle the melodramatic background music anymore), and making toys. Well, toy-shaped things. I don't think it counts as a toy yet if you can't play with it. Still, lots of fun. No question about who's the sculptor in the group, though. Grafton's have all kinds of cool details. Mine... well, my ability to translate between brain and hands has always been more than a bit lacking. This'll take practice.

I'm exhausted yet again today, though. I really need to find some life pattern that doesn't revolve around sleeping massive and desperate amounts on the weekends to make up for sleep dep during the week. It totally screws what little normal sleep pattern I actually have, and it doesn't do all that much for the continued exhaustion. Not getting fixed tonight, though. Patient-instructing, then I'm getting together for late dinner with a friend.

*chuckle* We do seem to have. I really have to say that I'm inordinately pleased with how this recent bout of intentional socializing via the personals sites has gone -- I've found at least five people I really enjoy hanging out with and talking to (you, Jen, bear53, Emily in Canada, and the guy I had dinner with tonight), regardless of where any of it goes from there, so that's a big ol' WIN in the game of life.

Whenever you feel like being social again, swing on by, we'd love to see you.
