Finally caving...

OK, finally caving and creating Facebook and Myspace accounts, so I can view other people's profiles and find them.

Wow. What an utterly bizarre nostalgia trip. Like looking forward to the Peep reunion next week wasn't already doing that to me...

I have found a number of folks on Facebook that I remember very fondly, and who have been positive parts of my life at various points, though. I'm enjoying that. Makes me happy to remember they're in the world out there somewhere.

It's really sad. I am now at the point in life where I get righteously annoyed if someone I want to talk to *isn't* on Facebook! A part of my brain starts to grumble "Oh, I have to go leave Facebook and look up their email somewhere and what if my gmail is malfunctioning and why won't the (*&*(& *&%$%^&$ just join Facebook?"

It's terrible. Terrible. Like crack.
