Hail and Pride

No, really. Hail.
I woke up this morning with a migraine, which made escorting rough, and the antis extra-annoying (not that it take much). Came home, took more meds and an hour nap, and then headed over to Pride to see
serpentseye's troupe, Rubber City Bombshells perform. Unfortunately, it was not to be... their performance got postponed to 7pm, and a huge storm blew in off the lake (Pride is held in Voinivich park, which is a pier in the Lake itself) around 5:30. It was fabulous to see and feel coming in, although we got totally soaked, and I'm wondering how many of the tents took damage; there were people everywhere desperately trying to disassemble tents that had suddenly become powerful kites, and the wind was just whipping everything about while people tried to hold on tight enough to keep things from tumbling into the lake. The minute the rain hit my headache let up substantially, though, and chaotic weather always gives me a charge anyway. Unfortunately, we have friends coming over any minute now, so we had to head home. I'm not sure if she's going to get a chance to perform tonight or not, although with the lightning, and the metal tent posts, I'm a touch concerned.
As I was saying to Grafton on the way home, "Everybody'd better be careful down there; if a queer gets struck by lightning on Pride, the fundies'll never let us live it down."
Despite the headache, I've been ridiculously riled up all day. It's very frustrating. Damned body, what with the contradictory messages.
