Bad news at the vet...

It looks like Morph's in kidney failure. Given the prognosis so far, I'm expecting we'll be saying our goodbyes to him, and letting him go. He's a great cat, and has been with me, and my various housemates, for the past fifteen years. He's had a good life, but I'll miss him like crazy.

Date: 2009-07-16 06:21 pm (UTC)I know you've been anticipating this loss for a while and had some time to pre-grieve, in your way. I know you will feel peaceful about the way you have cared for Morph, the charmed kitty life he's had, and the way you will help him pass. You have such astonishing grace about letting go. The critters in your home are among the luckiest in the animal kingdom, believe it.
But how sad it is, all the same. I'd give you a cuddle and pet your head if I could. Be well...my best to Morph for a smooth crossing.
