Weekend in Dayton, and 100 Things meme
Jan. 2nd, 2003 03:26 pmSo, still waging a losing battle with myself to post regularly. *grr*
I'm absolutely flat-exhausted today, since I didn't get home 'til 2am, but it was well worth it. I spent New Year's outside Dayton in the middle of nowhere. Midnight was actually in a rather rural bar with a live band and an overwhelming odor of sauerkraut. Yes, yes, I can hear you saying. That sounds thrilling.
However, it was with Jen, and Josh, and Adam, so I was quite content with the world. Jen'll be up here visiting tomorrow, which makes me very happy. The drive down and back was long (3 1/2 hrs or so), but quite nice; I've discovered that I can get a steady stream of various classic and not-so-classic rock from Dayton to Cleveland, with no dead zones. This makes me happy, since I find that radio keeps me awake much better than CD or tape - it's the unexpectedness of it; not knowing what's going to play next seems to keep me more alert. I hit freezing rain as I got into Cleveland, but it wasn't as bad as it could be, and it wasn't really a problem.
Tonight must be housecleaning. Jen with the cat allergy. Me with the cats.
I think I'm going to at least get a start of the 100 things meme. Here goes...
