Rather be home...
Jan. 2nd, 2006 10:24 amI'm working the holiday today, so I'm the only one in the office. The phones are intermittently busy, but so far it hasn't been too bad. Today's big project is to put together the clinic escorting schedule for January.
On the downside, RTA was running Sunday/Holiday hours today, so the first bus didn't leave my neighborhood 'til 7:20am, and I was 1/2 hour late. Also, I didn't remember to bring lunch, since the cafeteria's closed, so I'll be eating out of the vending machines. Ick. I've got counseling tonight, though, so hopefully I'll have time to stop at Aladdin's for dinner.
New Year's was fine, but exceedingly quiet. None of us were feeling all that well, so we just stayed at home and watched movies. I'd escorted that morning, and that always kicks my ass in this weather. Even my attempts at napping didn't leave me feeling up for much in the way of celebrating. firinel and marnanel, though, which was a nice end to the evening.
