Heat again!

We have heat again!

Sometime over the weekend our furnace died. Luckily, we've in the middle of a warm spell, the house is reasonably well winterized, and we're sandwiched between an upstairs apartment and a downstairs apartment, so it actually took us a little while to even notice the problem, and it never got below 60 in the house at all. Still, I wasn't looking forward to how quickly we'd notice if the temps really started dropping, so I ended up staying home yesterday to chase down our repair guy and make sure it actually got resolved (our landlord had apparently come out to visit on the first, and hadn't seen a problem, but we strongly suspect he was looking at bec76 and zodarzone's furnace instead).

It was rather a wasted PTO day, though... The repair guy didn't come out 'til 6pm, so there was no reason for me to have stayed home after all. Still, it was a nice mellow day, and I'm not particularly complaining.

On the positive side, I also got a message from the fabulousmisst that may have hooked me up with replacement couches for the junkers currently occupying our living room! Yay! Thanks, T!
