73 minutes of WTF?

I really can't believe I'd never even heard of Forbidden Zone before... Seems like the sort of thing that you'd just have to tell people about. And apparently the DVD has a commentary track -- I really, really have to hear that. Really. I mean, what the hell were they thinking? I'm curious.

*grrrrrrr*

How backordered can Play-Doh be? Is there a salt shortage or something? There's a certain little girl I'd really _like_ to be ordering a birthday/belated christmas present for today.

On the positive side, it's payday, I've paid the utilities, and I'm starting to catch up on belated holiday presents. And school starts next week, and I'm seeing my family next weekend. All for the good.

Oh, and I've determined that the second grotty couch can go out tonight. Yay! Further progress on the house reorganization!

Not bad.

If I can get my life and brain moving more in the direction I'd like, this is about where I'd hope to end up. Not a bad goal, at least, except for the badgering of the poor in-laws.

Shit.

Someone who is not me just charged $600 worth of shit on my card this morning (credit/debit card, tied to my bank account). I'm on the phone trying to get it sorted out now, but this sucks.

Several things I did order today likely won't process, due to the block they had to place on my card. And several autodeducts won't, either.

Edit

Ha! The dipshit placed online orders, with delivery addresses, and IPs stored by the stores. Police Report, here we come! (someone in Bronx, NY, apparently)

I've talked to the bank, the charges are being reversed, and I've got a different card (expires at the end of this month) that I can use to access my account, so I'm less screwed than expected.

Now I'm on the phone with the second of the three businesses where purchases were made (Nordstrom's, Lands End, Karmaloop), making sure the orders don't actually process and ship.

All three orders successfully averted, and lots and lots of info for the cops!
Dear MoveOn Member,

It sounds unbelievable—but did you know that anyone can go online and purchase cell or home phone records of people like you?

Today, AMERICAblog was able to buy Gen. Wesley Clark's personal cell phone records with no problem. Phone companies and congressional leaders have known about this problem, but they've failed to address it.

Even at a time when our right to privacy is under attack on multiple fronts, the idea that someone can simply go online and buy another person's phone records seems beyond possibility—but it is true, and it must be stopped immediately.

Please sign this emergency petition to your congressional representatives today.
