It's been a fabulous weekend so far, but recuperation time has been utterly absent. I escorted solo at the clinic Saturday morning, and I was definitely feeling the pain from the amount I'd been pushing my schedule earlier this week. I got home and had a great time hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] bec76, [livejournal.com profile] ethan_greer, and [livejournal.com profile] grf (and Mark made some wonderful soup for us, too). I'm currently drawn all over -- [livejournal.com profile] grf needed a project for an art crit this week, so we were up 'til about 3am hanging out, watching movies, drawing, and taking pictures (I'll probably get the pics and post those at some point; I really like some of them). I overslept massively this morning, though, and just woke up a bit ago. We need to get Grafton packed and set to go, and then later this evening, if I don't totally collapse, I should be getting together with [livejournal.com profile] bear53.

We discovered mid-afternoon yesterday, though, that our downstairs front neighbors are moving out, and that apartment is coming available as soon as it's cleaned. Our landlord is fabulous and flexible, and we'd love more people we know and like living in our extended commune here, so I wanted to put out the word. Parking and laundry free and onsite, pets welcome (unfortunately this apartment isn't actually attached to the fenced yard, but you could use it if you wanted) one mid-sized bedroom, two small bedrooms, good sized place with a very nice kitchen. The last neighbors had it for $725/mo. There is a band that practices in the basement of that house every so often (local group Red Giant). Upstairs neighbor is part of the band, and a decent guy, although pretty reclusive. Tremont's a great neighborhood -- feels like someone dropped a small town in the middle of the city -- very social, with lots to do and excellent RTA access, bars, art galleries, coffee shops, restaurants, bookstore, and events. Also easy access to West Side Market and Ohio City shopping area, and the new Steelyard Commons down the hill makes for easy practical shopping too (Home Depot, Target, Petco, etc). The apartment is on W. 11th about a block from Lincoln Park, if you want to do some online mapping.
