the town we i live isn't allowing trees this year [poopyheads!] in apartments and neither is the management company- so me and keri made one out of this wooden sculpture we bought for like 2 bucks...it's just not the same :]

Wow, are fires from Yule trees pretty common there? I've never heard of them being banned in apartments. Would they settle for a small live tree?

well- they're not all that common, but i guess it happens often enough if trees get dry enough and the lights get hot enough. hmmm, i've never really thought about it. maybe they'd allow a small live tree, but we probably couldn't put lights on it. :[ anyway, the tree me and my girlfriend made is special enough..i think we'll add something to it every year :]

I haven't had a live tree since I lived with my folks, and they were still in Michigan; it was wonderful to get to go hunting for one again -- many positive childhood memories!

I got a 4' tall coast redwood tree (native to this exact spot), live, and because I haven't got a place to plant it, I'll give it away to someone who'll plant it in a yard after Epiphany.
