Henna kit for kids
([livejournal.com profile] firinel, [livejournal.com profile] marnanel, [livejournal.com profile] forestfire -- I'm curious what you think of that in terms of potential for fun vs potential for mess and/or freaked out grandparents or teachers)

And various general henna kits -- If I get a henna kit for [livejournal.com profile] bec76 at some point, that means I can wheedle my way into henna decorations for me. I'm sneaky that way.

I think that's pretty cool! And it wouldn't be much more messy than painting. I'm not sure what teachers would think about it, but like a tattoo, if there's any worry about that sort of thing you can always tattoo your tummy or calf or somewhere else non-visible.

I think it would be more fun/worth the mess. We could do it outside in warmer weather to spare furniture and floors. Things like that aren't very likely to freak my family out, and Riordon's teacher has already seen her with fushia striped hair, so I'm not too sure we can freak her out any further, either.

You know, that would be a fun activity for us to do together when you visit here in warmer weather, actually.

For you, yourself, you'd want to find an EO which would terp the dye without triggering a migraine. I don't know how you do with eucalyptus.

Actually, there's a version that we could get that uses lavender oil. How are you with that?

Yep, I'm fine with both, actually.

I bought some henna recently, not a kit though. I know you can buy books with information and designs in them with henna included.

I think it's great that they make a henna kit for kids. I was stuck doing those loopy pot holders as a child. :p

Yeppers Peppers. I always had problems tying them off though. My dad is the chef at his deer camp in the fall so he'd always request hunter orange and camo ones.

Fun! Fun! Fun! Bah to teachers and grandparents who disagree.

Weeeeeeeeeeell..... I guess if you were gonna buy some, I'd have to have someone to practice on, wouldn't I? After all, I do need to do a bunch for portfolio shots...
