Treatments Used to Remove Abnormal Cervical Cells Increase Risk for Problems During Pregnancy, Study Says

Important to remember before getting too pessimistic about this, though, is that saying "70% more likely" sounds really scary, even if it's an increase from 1% of the population to 1.7% of the population, and is still generally an unlikely event.

However, this makes the fundie opposition to the HPV vaccine even more infuriating. And ironic, too. The same people who bring us "screaming folks at abortion clinics" also apparently want to bring us "increased delivery risks for women and infants". Fuckin' lovely.

Well, perhaps it will cheer you up a tad to hear that Ohio has voted against Intelligent Design being taught in schools.

This one is kinda a no brainer to me. If you LEEP or cryo off a huge slice o' cervix it's kinda silly to expect it to function in exactly the same way that it did before. Colposcopy, on the other hand = no biggie; partners with inconsideration fingernails cause more damage.
