Wow, I feel like crap today. Blarg. It stormed a lot last night, and I think we'll get more rain today. I just want to go back home and curl up; I've got a combo of worsening headache and feeling "beaten with a bat". Ah well. I'm really hoping I'm feeling better by tomorrow. This weekend's going to be hectic -- escorting Saturday morning, ceremony rehearsal Saturday afternoon, and the ceremony itself on Sunday. I'm very pleased to see the weather is calling for sun on Sunday, though!

Yesterday went fine, though. Opthalmalogist appt in the morning for new glasses, and my eyes are finally looking really healthy again. I'm considering getting contacts again, if it seems like I've finally grown up enough to treat my eyes properly in regard to them. Unfortunately, the Pearl Vision at the Eye Center no longer carries the really ultra-ultraslim lenses I've currently got, so my new ones will be a touch thicker, which makes me a bit nervous, since I don't know exactly how much thicker, and I really have liked the lenses I currently have (this is a big issue when your vision is as bad as mine; regular polycarbs actually press into my skin, the lenses are so thick, so I'm very willing to invest in the high-end materials). I'm not thrilled about the change, but the fact that I can do direct debit from my payroll there, split over three months, as well as getting a substantial employee discount, is a powerful motivation not to go hunting for a different office that might be able to order them in. Ah well. We'll see how they come out -- I should have them in two weeks or so, and I'll likely schedule a contact lens exam for the day I go to collect them. ([livejournal.com profile] bec76, we might want to try to schedule an exam for you at the same time, so we can set up the employee discount and payroll debit for your new lenses most conveniently). Also, I need to remember to fast on whichever day that ends up being, and get the blood draw for the lipid panel they forgot to order for my general physical.

Unfortunately, they dilated my eyes during my exam, so I spent the rest of the suddenly very sunny morning wandering around town in those ever-so-sexy disposable plastic sunglasses over my regular glasses. Got over to my gyn appt in the 'burbs, though, and did the annual battery of tests, and then headed back for physical therapy.

I talked with my physical therapists about what to do about my new transportation situation, and we've come up with a plan. For the moment, my next appt is a month from now, for a check-in to see how my home program is doing. We went over the home exercises some more, and discussed various possibilities for that. So, the current plan is for me to work on my own, and just check in with them as necessary (fitting in an appt once a month is a lot more feasible than twice a week, given how RTA is going to change my schedule).

Anyway, that was about it for the day.

It's a very sleepy day and a very very sleepy storm. I just woke up even though I was supposed to be at work ten minutes ago and I went to sleep crazy early last night.
