OK, "weird", yes, but so's everyone in the family.

Anyway, two sweet things so far from this visit. Mom asking whether I have any special new "person or group of people" in my life, and Dad calling just a minute ago to check on what kind of flourescent lights I want for the lightbulb switch campaign (actually a good excuse to do something I've been meaning to do for ages.

Last night we ordered pizza and watched Evolution, which was a fun low-key way to spend the evening.

Hey that's neat! I've been replacing all the bulbs here with that as they burn out but more because I'm cheap and lazy than especially environmentally active.

I don't think the flourescent bulb people push the cheap and lazy aspect enough. Those are huge motivators for most people.

*nod* Agreed. That was the motivator for our first one (the lightbulb in the staircase hallway that's such a pain to change)
