And in other news, I'm so tired I can't see straight. Didn't stay up very late (firinel, sorry I didn't call), but I'm utterly dead this morning. I was dozing in and out even on my shortest bus rides; I'm a touch lucky not to have missed any of my stops. And now everything the users says goes in one ear and out the other. *yawn* I've already had espresso, but I think it's time to make tea now.

Damn, did someone drug my tea?

I'm beyond tired, to the point of drifting off while on the phone with users. I ended up using my 1/2 hr lunch for a nap, because I just couldn't function any more. This is after two shots of espresso in my breve on the way in, and thirty-six ounces of strong black tea. I didn't stay up late last night, I didn't sleep particularly restlessly... I did wake up with a headache and muscle pain, though, and took some meds for that. The exhaustion might be a side-effect, although ibuprofen and flexeril don't usually affect me that way. Or it might be fibromyalgia-related fatigue, which strikes me as equally likely.

Whichever it is, it's really make the day creep by. I can't focus on anything well enough to distract myself. And, it turns out I'm patient-instructing tonight; Steph called me to work a make-up session for one of the nursing students. And tonight is Smallville and Angel; I'll be very bummed if I end up needing to sleep instead of catching them.

This is a doc at one of our clinics. The folks making these kinds of statements have repeatedly and publicly advocated the murder of doctors.

We've been working through the mayor's office to try to get the police to actually enforce the federal laws on the books, and they're being less than helpful (this is a very long-standing issue).
